Privacy policy
Last updated: 7 November 2026
This policy covers the Plectuno app, plectuno.com and support email. It describes current features; future subscription terms will be published before purchases are enabled.
Controller and contact
The controller is Juan Gerardo Martin Muñoz. Support and privacy contact: soporte@plectuno.com. His postal address and tax identification appear in the legal notice at plectuno.com/legal-en.html.
Profile and practice on your device
Your answers about level, goals, styles and practice habits, language, appearance and audio preferences, progress, sessions and results are stored: lesson, date, tempo, detected notes or chords and their timing. These organise practice, suggest activities and show progress. The current version does not require an online account or your name, email or date of birth. It does not synchronise your history with a Plectuno server.
Audio input and assessment
Microphone or audio-input permission enables tuning, monitoring and recording needed to assess compatible exercises. Musical analysis runs on the device. We do not automatically send your recordings for assessment or model training. In normal practice, analysis audio is temporary: it is deleted after successfully saving the result or on cancellation; failed operations can leave files pending cleanup. Musical results are retained. You can revoke permission in system settings; features requiring audio input will then be unavailable.
My material and optional permissions
When you import a file, photo or score, the app stores an internal copy, its filename, title, organisation, bar selection, tempo and available musical reading. Supported conversion runs locally. Camera access is requested only if you choose to photograph a score; the system picker lets you choose photos or documents. You can practise the catalogue without these permissions. Sharing or opening a file with another app is your action and is also subject to the chosen service’s terms.
Retention and deletion
The profile and results remain in this installation until you delete them. Settings → Privacy and data lets you manage saved takes and delete the practice data listed on screen. My material is deleted separately from the library: its internal copy is removed, but completed activities are retained. Practice-data deletion does not delete My material or that personal activity history. Originals, exports and system backups are outside these actions. Uninstalling normally removes internal data; a backup could restore it. Also review any iCloud, Google or other backups you have enabled.
Test versions and diagnostics
Test mode retains takes and reports for review and protects historical evidence from automatic deletion. It is not the initial mode of a new normal-practice installation. DEV versions may connect to the development computer and include diagnostic retrieval or upload tools; these are not part of local assessment in store lessons. If you take part in testing, any retrieval or transmission of recordings and its purpose will be agreed separately. Do not send other people’s audio, documents or data without authorisation.
Purposes and legal bases
Processing needed to provide practice features you request and answer service-related enquiries is based on providing that service and steps you request before entering a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). General enquiries and website security rely on legitimate interests in responding and keeping the service secure (Article 6(1)(f)). Where testing or an additional use requires consent, it will be requested separately and may be withdrawn without affecting prior processing. System permissions do not authorise advertising or other uses. Automated assessment provides educational guidance: it does not decide official grades or make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Website, email and providers
This website includes no advertising or commercial analytics tools. Cloudflare hosts and protects the website and may process IP addresses, dates and technical connection data to serve and secure it. DonDominio provides support email. If you contact us, we process your address, message and attachments to respond; a contact address is needed for a reply. Enquiries are kept while needed to resolve and follow up on them, and afterwards only where legally required or necessary for claims. We do not sell your data. External links, stores and system backups involve services with their own policies.
International transfers
Local practice does not involve sending your recordings abroad. Cloudflare may process browsing data outside the European Economic Area; its data processing agreement provides safeguards such as standard contractual clauses: www.cloudflare.com/cloudflare-customer-dpa/. You can request information about applicable safeguards at soporte@plectuno.com. Backups and external services you choose are also governed by their own terms.
Your rights and minors
You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection or portability where applicable, and withdraw consent, by emailing soporte@plectuno.com. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity; do not send identity documents initially. We have no remote access to your local history: where needed, we will explain device controls. You may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es). Families should support minors when configuring permissions or contacting support and avoid unnecessary third-party data. Where processing a minor’s data requires consent, it will be obtained from the appropriate person according to age and applicable law.
Changes to this policy
The date of this policy identifies its revision. We will publish changes and provide any required information or consent before enabling new processing, online accounts or purchases.
